FROUDIAN ENCOUNTERS

When I was a little girl my mother would tell me all kinds of fairy tales and legends that have been passed down through our family. She taught me that if I treat the earth with respect and genuine kindness, it would surely do the same for me.

My father, on the other hand, absolutley dispised our talk of fantasy and legend. He told me they were "works of satan". It was almost like he would do anything to disappoint me. I wasn't allowed to own anything with images of fairies or dragons or anything that wasn't "real".

Well, one day my mother just couldn't take anymore physical and emotional abuse from him anymore. I remember this day as if it happened yesterday. I was 7 years old. I stayed home from school because I was sick (or so I said) and my mother said she was getting ready to go to the store. However, I had a feeling that something wasn't right by the way she kept looking at me. It was as if she was terrified of something.

She returned about an hour and a half later, but not with groceries. She was followed by 3 policeman. My father just started screaming at her. Obscenities seemed to be every other word out of his mouth. Everything seemed to be moving so fast. I was completely overwhelmed by so many feelings at once. Confusion, anger, happiness, sadness, the list goes on. I didn't know what to do. So I ran. I ran into our back yard and hid behind our shed. I immediately fell to the ground and started crying. All of a sudden, I felt this warm, comforting prescence surrounding me. I looked up to see this tiny ball of light hovering above my lap. I remember feeling so loved and protected. All I could do was sit still and embrace its warmth. What seemed like hours later, my mother came looking for me. She told me that we were going somewhere far away from here. Somewhere we could be happy.

Till this very day, I can still remember the feeling of safety and love that I felt in that moment. I don't know what "it" was, but there will always be a place in my heart dedicated to thier kindness.

Sorry, I don't have any photos; it happened so suddenly I'm still shaking. My phone rang and I was in my back bedroom. I rushed to catch it, and tried to sit in my wheeled.

Well, the chair went out from under me, as if someone(?) had done it on purpose. I fell, and hit my
head; i,m still stunned. I just know that it has to be one of those trickster faeries, but he moves so fast I can't see him. Sometimes I think he,s the one I "feel" looking over my shoulder as I type on my computer.

I did a faery spellcalling upon a gnome my friends were having a campout in my yard and the three of us saw glowing orbs the size of two fists floating across the neighbors yard. Also this was more eerie but I looked out my window and saw a little creature in the tree hacking at it. Do faeries play some what of a role in learning who you are?
